Errors
The error format, status codes and error codes of the ScriptBunker API.
Every failure has the same shape:
{ "error": { "code": "insufficient_scope", "message": "This token does not have the \"keys:write\" scope." } }
code is stable and meant for programs; message is for people and may change.
| Status | code | When |
|---|---|---|
400 | invalid_request | A parameter or body field is missing or invalid |
401 | invalid_token | The token is missing, malformed, unknown, revoked or expired |
403 | insufficient_scope | The token lacks the required scope |
403 | account_suspended | A write was attempted while the creator account is suspended |
404 | not_found | The resource does not exist, is not public, or is not yours |
409 | keys_not_enabled | The project does not use ScriptBunker Keys |
409 | limit_reached | A per-account limit was reached (webhooks, tokens) |
409 | webhook_disabled | A test was requested for a disabled webhook |
429 | rate_limited | Too many requests — see Retry-After |
500 | internal_error | Something went wrong on our side; the message never contains internals |
Release and key validation errors (400) put the first problem in message.
404 is deliberate
The API does not tell you whether a resource you cannot access exists. A draft or removed script on the public API, and another creator's project on the creator API, both answer 404 not_found, exactly like an id that never existed.
